This simple homemade scrub uses basic ingredients that are often used in DIY skincare routines. It is easy to prepare and can help exfoliate and soften the skin on your hands.
Ingredients
Two tablespoons of uncooked white rice
One tablespoon of toothpaste, preferably a white paste variety
One teaspoon of warm water, if needed for consistency
A small bowl for mixing
Instructions
Place the uncooked white rice into a small bowl.
Add the toothpaste to the rice.
Mix the two ingredients together until they form a thick paste. If the mixture is too dry, add a few drops of warm water to reach the desired consistency.
Apply the mixture to your hands, focusing on areas that feel rough or dry.
Gently massage the scrub into your skin in circular motions for about two to three minutes.
Rinse your hands thoroughly with warm water.
Pat your hands dry with a soft towel.
Apply a moisturizing lotion afterward to keep your skin hydrated.
Tips for Best Results
Use this scrub once or twice a week. Do not use it on broken or irritated skin. If you have sensitive skin, test a small amount on the back of your hand first. Always follow with a moisturizer to protect the skin barrier. This is a cosmetic recipe for external use only.
