This simple homemade gel uses natural ingredients that are often used in DIY skincare routines. It is easy to prepare and can be a refreshing addition to your daily skin care regimen.
Ingredients
Two fresh aloe vera leaves
One teaspoon of honey
A few drops of vitamin E oil, optional
A clean glass jar with a lid
A small spoon or spatula
Instructions
Wash the aloe vera leaves thoroughly under cool running water.
Using a sharp knife, carefully slice off the spiky edges and the flat top layer of the leaf.
Scoop out the clear gel from the inside using a spoon. Avoid the yellow sap that may ooze out, as it can irritate the skin.
Place the gel into a small bowl.
Add the honey and vitamin E oil if using. Mix well until combined.
Transfer the mixture into a clean glass jar and seal it with a lid.
Store the gel in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.
How to Use
Wash your face and pat it dry. Apply a thin layer of the gel to your skin. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse with cool water. Use it once or twice a week. Always do a patch test on your arm before applying it to your face. This is a cosmetic recipe for external use only.
