The image above shows a small, capsule-shaped object resting in the grass. It has a black top with a logo and a clear bottom section. A thin metal tip extends from the top. A red circle highlights the object, and the text asks, “What is this?” This is a common question when people find unfamiliar items outdoors. The object appears to be a portable vaporizer, specifically a model known as the Lookah Dragon Egg.
What Is a Portable Vaporizer?
A portable vaporizer is a small, battery-powered device used to heat materials for inhalation. These devices are designed to be compact and easy to carry. They typically consist of a battery, a heating chamber, and a mouthpiece. The Lookah Dragon Egg is a specific type of vaporizer that uses a water chamber for filtration. It has a glass mouthpiece and a quartz coil atomizer.
How Does It Work?
The device is operated with a single button. Pressing the button five times turns it on. The user can then adjust the voltage settings. The bottom chamber is filled with a small amount of water. The material is placed on the heating coil. When the button is pressed, the coil heats up, and the user inhales through the glass mouthpiece. The water helps cool and filter the vapor.
Why It Might Be Found Outdoors
Finding a device like this in the grass is not unusual. It is small and easy to drop. Someone may have lost it while walking or spending time outdoors. It could also have been discarded. If you find one, it is best not to pick it up with your bare hands. It is a personal item that may have been used. If you are curious about what it is, you can observe it from a distance or take a photo and search online.
The Importance of Safety
If you find an unknown object outdoors, always prioritize safety. Do not touch it if you are unsure what it is. Do not put it in your mouth. Do not try to use it. If it looks like a battery-powered device, it could be damaged or leaking. If you are concerned, you can contact local authorities or a waste disposal service for guidance on how to handle it.
The Bottom Line
The object in the image is a portable vaporizer. It is a small, battery-powered device used for heating materials. Finding one outdoors is not uncommon. If you find one, it is best to leave it alone. Safety should always come first.
